lets say you are in the trade forum for idk d2r then you click a button and it filters out the ops that arent online at that moment

Yes, i know that. But you cannot see that until after you go in the thread. If there was an option to only see all threads from users who are currently online it would save a lot of people a lot of time going in different threads over and over just to see if the OP is online or not.
