When i search for an item I want to see the most recently created threads. I don't want to see the ones that have the most recent last comment.

Right now when I searched for an item I wanted on D2R hardcore, the top 5 results are people who haven't been online in an hour+ and then further down the list are more recent posts.

Being able to toggle between last active and most recently created would be very useful.

Or optimally, sort the list based on the last time the thread owner posted in the thread, and don't bump threads up the search results when other people bump the thread.

You should add a poll.

I partially agree, but my suggestion is:

First filter the relevant topics that were created in the last half an hour by creation date, after them sort those older than half an hour by last reply.

You would need to make a poll for a site suggestion.

But I really do believe your last option mentioned would be the very best of both worlds.

Edit: Just did a test by searching for "ber" in SCNL
The 6 top threads was based on creation.
While the 7th actually was an older thread that had a post newer than the posts above it.

Could seem like it's based on 2 hours.
