Hey,
I have a suggestion connected with D2:R Classic Forums.
People seem to confuse this forum with D2:R LOD Nonladder Forums, therefore there are a lot of posts from LOD section while Classic is a Non-Expansion section.
This causes some spam in the section.
After reporting, posts are moved slowly or not at all.
Similar thing goes with D2:R Classic Ladder Forums.

So my suggestion is:
1) automatically redirect post to LOD section if people write phrases connected with typically LOD items like: eni, anni, torch, jah, etc.
or
2) after detecting such phrases being written, show information: this is classic section without LOD and are you sure you want to post it here + link to LOD sections.

Hi SpeedOfLight,

I did encounter a number of topics like that and I'm sure a few other staff members did too in the past,
the introduction of the term "classic mode" with the launch of D2R does confused people from time to time and make them think it's either LoD or even non-ladder.

With your intentions in mind, personally I think it would be more straight-forward if we'd just rename the LoD section from the Trading Grounds to either "Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction" or "Legacy Diablo 2" to avoid confusion because it'll be hard to "detect keywords" related to LoD since non-expansion items also appear in the expansion as well in both D2R and legacy, if we implement a system like that it'll likely be inconvenient to users especially ones that play and post in both classic and expansion modes on D2R.

Worry not, we have a team of active staff members responsible for the trading grounds and should we encounter any wrong forum reports we'll deal with them and take appropriate action such as move topics to the right section if needed,
therefore if you encounter any LoD topics being posted in classic then do hit the report button so we can move them to the right section.

Thanks for your concern and just for future reference if you post a site suggestion make sure you attach a poll!

Thanks very much for response.
It's certainly confusing for some people and renaming sections could help solve this problem.
Maybe also underlining Diablo II: Classic (Non-Expansion) Trading could fix it.
I also don't understand why would it be hard to detect keywords? I don't play LOD often but as far as I remember, I cannot create a topic with name "sox quest" as a FT so this mechanism seems to be working well and be configurable from my point of view.
Maybe blocking such posts in Classic section would be an option to fix it too then (instead of automatic redirecting?)
About this system causing confusion for both classic and expansion players. I wrote about typical LOD items, by that I meant items that can only spawn on LOD.

If we were to filter out the name of LoD items in the classic subs, there’re literally over thousands of items we’d have to list, plus moving a couple of wrongly posted topics per day doesn’t really take much effort.

Just eni, hoto, shako, jah, ber would probably eliminate at least 50% of them :)
Of course it doesn't take much effort but Classic forums is not LOD where we have new topics in Top 50 within 1 minute :)

Anyway thanks for your interest. Maybe it will work better one day :)
