I voted yes.

My reason is I will often search my gold logs when I'm posting in someone's price check thread. It would be nice to be able to find that 17/4 or whatever I sold. Additionally, I'd like to be able to edit the other person's comment when it's not as descriptive as I would prefer. The comments in the gold log are for my own use, so I would like the feature you have suggested.
