A sub dedicated to souls & soulslikes might be a better idea. A larger umbrella.

ER won't receive more content, but games of the genre will continue to be made.
Wukong being the latest example. It already beat ER on most concurrent players of all time, on Steam.

I mean, I see titles like H1Z1 with posts dated to 2021 in first page, I don't understand what's the issue here, now of course your idea sounds good and I agree, but I fear that noone is really changing subforums since 2-3 years

However, I believe the reason for the concurrent player count is the game was coming free with Nvidia cards. Regardless, you idea of a souls like sub vs just ER is definitely the way to go.
