Yes, as long as there is a way to distinguish whether it was your comment or the sender. Different font color or something like your screenshot example; for the case of scammer accusations.

Yes, you can ask the sender to fill it out like someone suggested but

a ) you shouldn't have to and
b ) that doesn't guarantee that they do.

It's your log and you should be able to keep track of it how you want. Just because an improvement is nothing more than a quality of life improvement does not mean that it shouldn't be implemented. If that were the case, everyone in the world would still be riding horses.

To the first part:

The picture in my post shows as example a second personal comment, so that the FG receiver is able to comment the transaction afterwards.
It would be possible to have either a personal comment (only visible for you) or a comment that is visible for both, the buyer and the seller.
