it seems the hierarchy for buttons within his code is: trade -> service -> pc -> topic -> poll.

if one is missing ie; service, the order remains: trade -> pc -> topic -> poll ( http://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=211 )

this is the case because he uses the "forum.php" file to generate the forum topic listings for each section. this means if he adjusts the button sorting, it will change globally. so the issue is not league forum specific, it is site wide. granted he could do a conditional specifically for the league forum, however that is typically a horrible programming practice and i am positive he will not do that. instead of specifically appealing to the league forum, it sounds like this suggestion should be appealing to the entire site.

tl;dr: what you are suggesting is not league specific, it is a site wide change and will impact every section.

If its a site issue overall I feel it should be changed. especially not forums that are not mainly trade orientated

This was the reason njag originally told me in PM after i posted this topic, but i feel it should still be changed.
The sub-forum has been around since ~2009-2010(?), and after 5 years, the button was added, so it's hard to break habit and I see people accidentally posting services at least 3 times per day.
But yeah, I see the reasoning behind why it is the way it is.

regardless, i do understand your point, the eye goes directly for the far left button for new topics. the point behind my above post was to properly illustrate the problem at hand and identify that a change will only not impact the league forum but the entire community. in the interest of fairness it is reasonable to require the entire community support for this change and not simply one section. with that said, maybe an adjustment and repost of this suggestion is in order. your suggestion, your call.
