Also included in any type of auction thread: the ability to edit posts should be disabled.
Many people try to edit their post to make it look like they bid a certain amount first, and often times it falls within the same minute, making it difficult to determine which actually came first.

yea, but the excitement would be there for bidding. You could watch the clock, try to be the last bid. Sellers would easily know who wins
