It's a good idea. It's rather cheap to enter, and possibly some poor bloke would win it. Like me. biggrin.gif

You have to get them in the exact order.

Thanks for the answer, but I think you need to modify this somewhat, otherwise this will be like lotteries in real life where one person wins 300 million and nobody else wins anything. You should make it so you still win a portion if you get the first 2 numbers correct, or if you get the right numbers in the wrong order smile.gif

njaguar, I suggest removing the lotto statistics from the bottom of the forum index when the site load is *Very Heavy*, much like the users browsing a forum or thread is removed during that time. If someone really wants to know, they'll go to the lotto page. wink.gif

No. 36*35*34 = about 1:42,000 which is better than most scratch and win gambling tickets.

It is the same query as the main site statistics, so it adds no extra hit, other than a trivial amount of php parsing.

Yes it is. When did you purchase your ticket? There was a bug about 4-5 hours ago that caused a few to not get logged.

[edit] Yea, you were one of the ones affected. tongue.gif Will manually apply those logs now.

I only purchased 1 ticket about 2-3 hours ago, and it went to a weird page saying something about an error, but then i went back to the lottery page and it showed that i had 0 gold and that my ticket had been purchased smile.gif

Edit: but it did not show up in my gold logs

Oh. Sorry, I can't see the source. wink.gif I only assumed it made a slight dent in the load.
