this same tired 'criticism' has already been addressed several times. the silly 'all or nothing' mentality doesnt have to hamper the usage of the features on the website
easy changes can be made to allow users to have even more customizable options than they already have that allow them to experience the site the way they want to
if other people dont want to use it they dont have to. do you think everyone uses the instant messenger? of course not. that doesnt mean it was a bad idea to implement it because its wonderful for the people who do use it :)

Would kind of suck for the friends who cant view. And Im not sure if enough people would use it to make it worth implementing. :\

interesting comment. i feel that people would be happier to be listed as someones friend than to not be on the list at all
i cant say that definitively because thats not how i feel personally.. but have encountered people that feel very strongly that you and them should be added to each others friends list
friends are more understanding to the privacy and preferences of someone than random people.. that is why i think this is a good idea and why it should be added
ultimately.. what is it hurting? its not changing anything so there should be no blowback.. it seems to be harmless and beneficial :)

i never understood why people upload whole albums to jsp and them make them private.

For privacy sake, only for friends to see. Mamakwik just wants to enforce further action so that it is more userfriendly

the easiest way to explain it is to say there is a certain lack of 'moderation' on them when they are public
when faced with the problem of dealing with it.. users are just encouraged to make them private instead of something being done about the problem behavior
thats why there are private photos and album.. people are tired with the disruptive behavior and inaction :)
tying that into this suggestion.. this is why its important to give more control of this feature to the users since the feature is being greatly ignored as is
we should be able to get more out of it especially considering the suggestion wouldnt negatively effect it whatsoever :)
