cant you use the members folder, if u must organize them, how about "toggle important" function?
or using the "mark unread" toggle to make some topics bolded?

You could very easily, but this is really not that needed for regular members, it is mostly aimed at mods who have tons of pm's daily, and methods like this are not feasible to manage thousands of incoming weekly pm's
