I completely love this idea! Voted Yes!!!

Would the off buton affect only the new function you want to implicate or all previous text commands like etc if it does the second then a user annoyed by possible increase in creative colouring may miss the value of bold, italics, underline, etc. when they're used proper. Haven't voted.

If anything just add the simple option under for those three text styles, which simply would allow only the italics/bold/underline. Necessarily don't see them used correctly anyhow on this site anywhere, so I don't think that that issue really has any valid merit.

lol i said buton. using my phone to jsp at mcdonalds ftw... if people never used it correctly then why do the functions even exist? that seems like a prejudice statement, really. there are people who use it correctly. the function in your proposition should only remove the text edits for the function itself, withstanding the regular textual functions. this would allow actual important text to be noticed while giving the benefit of avoiding the new wave of useless colourtext. i don't even see the reason for the change anyway, who cares about making all your text pink unless you're some attentionfag or something. overall it's not really beneficial for most people and only a slight convenience for the few people who choose to type a certain way all the time. these people already likely have a system [copy paste], etc.
