Going into it's territory and shooting it, completely innocent animal, for enjoyment, is cruel. I don't see how this could be argued any other way

Enjoy your class sir

Oh how good of them. They're real heroes, not wasting the animal they went over to and slaughtered in it's home environment. Seriously. How is shooting an innocent animal NOT cruel?

You prefer your meat from bullet riddled carcasses instead, right?

Who said any thing about enjoying having to kill the animal? You clearly are misinformed on the subject. You don’t just go over to an animal and kill it Lmao.

Raising cattle, hogs, chickens for the sole purpose of slaughter to feed the masses is much nobler?

Alright then, if hunting isn't done for enjoyment, what IS it done for?

No, you don't. That makes it worse. You play with the animal and it's fear. you make sport of it.

Yes, much nobler, killing for food keeps people alive, hunting as a sport is killing as a goddamn boredom buster.

Again you are misinformed on the subject; you assume too many things where do u get god damn boredom from. There are seasons for these things; you can’t just go ohhhh I think I’ll go hunting today. (At least in the US)

1) Animals raised for slaughter are garneted a death, have u ever been to a slaughter house? I guessing not it pretty brutal what they do to animals there. I could go in to very gory detail but I wont.

2) Hunting is done for several reasons, Population management, Food, hides for making the chopper gloves people love to where while snowmobiling. Should I go on?

3) When hunting there is no guarantee you will take an animal, I have sat in my tree stand for 3 weeks in the rain, snow, wind, glaring sun and some times never see a single white tail. In fact they animals have the advantage.

So you are denying you hunt for fun? You constantly avoid this point. I fail to see how this makes me misinformed...

And now who's assuming? Yes, I have been to a slaighter house. It's not that "gory", it's all sanitory, actually sir.

Population management is clearly NOT an issue, no matter where you live, populations of animals that are hunted, are going down. Fact. "For food" is irrelevant. You have enough money for a computer, internet, and power for both of these, you can buy food much cheaper and easier from a supermarket. Hides can be made from an already dead animal, or faux materials can be used.

Simple fact is, you march into their environment, their home, and attempt to hurt an animal for enjoyment.

Yes... I made a suggestion about a year ago for a fishing forum and was told to use a sub forum that had nothing to do with it.

Sorry I’m not going to continue to argue with you. I never stated I hunt for the enjoyment of killing animals you assume this by stating such. All reasons I stated are very valid and are reasons people hunt, be it not all the reasons.

Slaughter house are sanitary, they have to our every one would be sick from contamination. I'm referring to the manor in which the animals are slaughtered.

I had said my piece in support of this idea. We have differing views and u continue beat the cruelty horse to death. You can’t advocate not killing one animal and justify killing another.

population is a huge issue. Or maybe you just live in an urban environment and have no idea.
There is nothing wrong with killing an animal for food. But if you're going to start there, you might as well go into the whole, you can't drive cars because the roads in which you drive intersect the migratory mating pathways of many amphibians, reptiles etc. If you've ever noticed you kill thousands of animals a day because you feel it's better to drive your car than walk. Unless ofc it's only wrong to kill animals of substantial size for food.. which ofc makes no sense. But on that note cars definetly kill more animals a year than hunting, why not petition a banning of the automotive forum? I know it's extreme but that's just the tone your arguments are coming off as. Believe it or not people don't hunt for the sole purpose of killing an animal in some barbaric bloodthirsty lust. You are clearly in experienced in this topic and are so one sided you could not possibly grasp the concepts of why people actually hunt. Probably comparable to my feelings on the religious forums. But I don't go wasting my time trolling a forum for the sole purpose of trolling. Having a hunting/fishing forum would stop you from viewing hunting material which you are obviously offended by.
I voted yes, it would be great to have an area to talk about hunting and fishing. Especially great so I won't have to pm junior moderators to stop individuals from spamming anti gun legislation etc etc.

And AGAIN, you have dodged my point...

Do you hunt for enjoyment? Your silence speaks volumes. If not, why do YOU hunt? Or will you just evade this question AGAIN, too...?

I guess it's irrelevant responding in any other manner and indeed, responding AT ALL to any of your vague and generalised claims. Should you wish to actually debate with me rather than avoid my points, feel free sir...

Wha makes you think I am offended by it? I merely enjoy debating with people. I'm actually more concerned about how it might offend younger children who clearly visit this site. As stated, I am not some guy who believes that killing animals is wrong, because yes, it is often done for food, but this is done through breeding the animals for this select process. Killing FOR ENJOYMENT is wrong. I repeat, KILLING. FOR. ENJOYMENT.

Which is what hunting consists of. If not totally, than the majority of hunting is done as sport. Can any of you really say you hunt ONLY to get an animal pelt or a bit of venison? Really?
