I dont get it. If I am willing to code the poker room, and you are willing to do the lottery idea, then why not do the poker idea?

How about adding the countdown to the header of the site? Like, Hourly Lottery (34m) or something. So I can see at a glance just how long till I win

I considered a Black Jack table type thing, I think it'd be better to start with that over a Poker table, since there are so many variations and poker game types.

black jack is probobly better for this type then poker, since black jack is much easier, it´s not that many variations in the game
oh, njaguar, be sure to program it with like 15 decks of cards, to prevent people from counting cards, that way you´ll keep the odds at your side

Honestly, I am sorry I didn't realize you didn't see my original site suggestion for a poker table type thing. I think that blackjack is boring (personally), and its not something that ppl play against each other (its something you play against the house). As for the variations of poker, I agree, there are more poker variations that there are members of this site, but we could start it out with just texas hold'em (limit and no limit). As time progresses we can insitute tourneys. Over time, we can build 5 card draw, 7 card stud, omaha, etc etc. Its not something that can be built over night.

Also, I understand wanting to code it all yourself. I almost hate to read other's coding as I always think their logic is kinda flawed . However, I am in need of a website project for a class in college, and an online poker thingy would be killer. I know you don't know me from a hill of beans, but I would like to (if you would like to open this can of worms) help co-write this implementation (java, of course). Please, let me know. It would take some time to develope, but would be alot of fun.
