Can't you simply go to their profile and view their blog listing? I see the point of it being in a collective organized list, but it isn't something I find useful.

Well you have 39 friends. i have over 200. some dont have blogs. some are boring. it would be nice to see over 200 blogs much faster and quicker than searching individually, and in order of newness.
