Ummm… they did do something. They made the process for mediation simple and available around the clock. It used to be an arduous process — now, it’s ridiculously simple and efficient, and foolish not to use… especially for new members.
I don’t personally care about join dates, wallet size, or how many topics someone has spammed with nonsense to increase their post count. If I don’t know you, I’m not giving first and I will gladly wait for a mediator. If someone doesn’t want to wait for a mediator, find someone else to trade with. Your better off finding a new trader opposed to getting shafted.
People here establish rapport with one another over time and that does correlate to join date, as when you are around longer, you get to know more people, and those people trade with you more willingly. That’s an inherent risk seasoned users opt to take. They understand the risk involved, but they do it among other seasoned users and weight the risk vs reward. As a new user, you typically don’t have this luxury. That’s not what you want to hear, I understand, but that’s just how it is.
Unfortunately, the SA page is filled with 2021’s scamming other 2021’s and that is what people see. It’s sad because mediation is so simple right now to use and literally every single SA was preventable. I honestly don’t know what more JSP could do other than they have already provided.
Bottom line, use a mediator. I have to vote no on this one.
You posted a good point
