We should be able to track non trade forum topics forever because there are some pages we all post in regularly. I for one post in at least six diffrrent guild chats daily. A forever optio n would be nice. However option 2 is not needed. Just stop tracking when you're done with that thread. Not that hard imo

Why should we have to do it in 2 steps.... mush easier to do it before you even click the post button.

I track my guild's guild chat page... as long as i remain in the guild i would like the have the topic tracked which in theory can be forever.... hince the suggestion.

I do this too, and it's frustrating when you forget about the timer and have to go reloading it back onto your tracked topics page.

i like #1 but #2 seems rather redundant, in my opinion if you care enough about a topic you post to leave early - excluding when it gets closed as those delete automatically - or if you want to track it longer you should be ok with posting the topic without clicking the check box and manually tracking it for your planned time, it is the same amount of clicks, one you just click before you make the topic the other you click after you make the topic

Nulled.
I don't see how this would improve. The first suggestion, 3 months is long enough and I doubt that there is a topic that you would want to track forever.
As I said 3 months is already long enough and it aint hard too up the timer another 3 months either.

You second suggestion is also kind of unnecessary because even if you only want the topic tracked for a week you will most likely just unsubsribe it when it's done and even if you wont it will go away after a month because who would up the timer on a topic they don't wanna have tracked?
Sorry but I don't think it's useful.

Is it really too much trouble to renew tracking every 3 months? Even if you are tracking 50 topics, just do 2 a day or w/e. Take what 5 mins tops?

Unsubscriibe when you finish?

Sorry man I see no real use for either.

No to one and two because the edit topics function works well enough as it is now. It doesnt take too much effort to renew the tracking.

lol u need a choice for your poll of " i'm not sure, but i want to participate" i don't want to vote cause its both good and bad at the same time.
good
gives long tracks and able to keep eye on things. i never personally tracked anything more than 2 or 3 days.
second change, well thats kind of redundant to ask. because you can stop tracking topic any time you want and if your like me you have a tab of that page open before you decide to stop tracking it incase you need something from it afterwards or just that little extra time after stopping to just make sure nothin is going to happen on it.

bad
i can't really give in detail, cause i'm a noob to html scripting and running websites. but the space it would take up if you do forever because it wont be deleted after its expiration time set in the scripting or w/e. so all those threads will just add up and take up more space. get my drift?

otherwise idk what to say for if it should be done or not. its got good and bad points. but id say one way would be to add a fee to tracking forever if it does go through. and on the second its a thought. i never really payed it no mind but it could work

I like this. I hate having to retrack my guild topics 4 times a year, it's just annoying -_-
There are also other topics I want to keep tracked that I always have to keep the links of in my notes or something if I dont want to lose it after 3 months.
Good suggestion.
