njaguar your formula is right but - The odds of winning with one ticket purchased are 1 in 42,840 (Formula is 36*35*34 - Go ask a mathematician are wrong after my calculations

i can show you the real number of 36

(my eng is not 2 good so hope you understand )

let me explain this whit a norwigian lottery..  you must tip 7 right numbers of 34 numbers to win first place  ( if you pick this numbers 2-12-6-15-25-34-28  and then the winner numbers comes

2-6-12-15-25-28-34  you dont need to have them in a line ,  if 1 of the winner number are 12  you got 12 on your raffle/cupong you have a right number )  here the chance of this lottery

34*33*32*31*30*29*29 /7/6/5/4/3/2/1 = 1 of 5379616

in this raffle you must have the right line to win  here is the right calculations 2 show it

calculations  36*35*34/3/2/1 = 7140  *  (36*36*36 =46656 numbers of lines you can have on this raffle)  = 1 of 333,123,840    THAT WILL SAY THIS IS THE POT WHEN THIS POT GOES OUT ^^  =1665619200 fg

( i am 99% sure of this calculations are right  )

if hes right i think the code should be re written.

as
njag sayd The order of your numbers matters. If you pick 1 2 3, and the
server picks 3 2 1, that is not a match. it is 36 number in all this
right then you have to 36*36*36 of combinations (so i think its right
but maybe i can have wrong )

y your right it must be 36*35*34 but ofc the numbers get 2 high

you are wrong in this case, as stated before there are 36*35*34 (since you cannot repeat a number) possibilities. I dont know why you would fine the odds of unordered and then times them by the total possibilities, you cant have worse odds than 1/(total possibilites) which you got.

IcEmAnIaC: Your math is wrong. Way wrong.

Also, you can't pick the same # twice.

http://www.math.mcmaster.ca/fred/Lotto/

Check that out. In order to math all 6 numbers (in order) from 1 to 49, the odds are 1:13,983,816

Now explain how mine is somehow higher.

Dont have time to read everything -

Suggestion if no one has mentioned it - Buy X amount of Random tickets at once. Takes a while to buy more than 1, especially with a high site load.

Stop bitching.
If you don't like it don't use it, there are some of us here that DO like it and do use it and realize that there is a small chance of winning.

Hell, I wouldn't be suprised if he ripped it down to avoid future bitching.
