good suggestion. but i do think theyre fine.
on d2jsp, most stars are pretty old as well and the oldskool look fits the website nicely
if you missed browsing the internet in the 90's, well d2jsp is kinda what it looked like

while i really like your graphics work on your given example i have nullvoted because
new / more modern graphics don't really match to this site. they would need to fresh
up their whole CSS: buttons, header.. navigation bar etc.

i hope you keep bumping this topic though because it's a nice idea and just a matter of time
until they do it :thumbsup:
