This includes compatibility

Yeah, but if a website uses a different color.. that doesn't necessarily mean it will render faster.. Even if it is true, it's nothing noticeable to a human being

If I'm understanding your perspective correctly, you are debating that the rate at which the site renders is the most important priority in optimization. I can't imagine such a basic coded website render taking any more than microseconds longer to remap white to black and black to white.

Since jsp already had a dark mode style, it could be automatically applied if the client detects a user's phone is in night mode... I guess but even then, it would have be an enabling setting, because some people might like other themes while in night mode.

That's what I mentioned before "Maybe an option for the browser to override the website skins in settings would be the solution", it would give users the option to either use manual skin mode or compatibility with browser nightmode mode.

I'm not trying to tilt anything lol.

Maybe just don't use the site if it's THAT bad for you..
