I have no idea why you’re accusing me of “not reading” , and answering something unrelated to your suggested. I quoted you saying you wanted to “make it easier for mods to close topics”.
We don’t close topics usually which are resolved, because sometimes people can offer additional insight or a different perspective.
You’ve basically told 4 staff members in this thread that they’re not understanding you, and we’re wrong in our input, when we’re actually taking the time out of our day to read your suggestion and give constructive input.
Are you saying eveey single one of us is wrong in our opinion about a section that all of us have moderated?
I have the right to say and defend myself when someone answers beside what I say. Nothing personal.

You took a detail, a possible application of my idea and which you misinterpreted (helping mods does not mean closing topics).
And unfortunately two other people followed you I wonder what reasoning they had.
If I tell you "A" and you answer "B" by saying that "B" is close to A well I would tell you that you are off topic.
I'm not accusing you of anything Josha, I usually speak in relation to the previous answers.
I am well aware that topics are often left open but many are also closed.
I'm not saying again we have to do it but that it may provide an element to help mods, nothing more.
Others may respond on their own.
I explain it pretty clearly and it's easy to see that the opinions above are not specifically about what I'm proposing but about things around my idea. I can't help it, I don't write for them.
Again, I'm not saying you don't know the sections you are moderating. But if the argument is to say, I'm moderating this section so I'm right, then there is a problem.
Moderating a section doesn't mean being right on any idea.
If there is a personal issue with me or if we misunderstood each other, you can send me a private message.
Regards
