But if there is atleast one TT or above who can control/monitore that languages translaters.
Like i could have 1-3 nontaggeds, who sends ranslations to me. I read them and approve or not.
So it would be monitored by TT/above.
Just like S/A.
You could have few swe-users who send them to you. Etc. So you would not have to do all the translations alone.
Make it bit easyer.
I know what you mean and why, and we have talked this, but i just add this here to give another view.

It wouldn't be as easy as suggested, but I get the basic idea and see a positive sense behind it. Yes.

I'm not sure I understand the criticism here. Why do the staff need to be involved in translations at all, 'checking' them and so on? Is this honestly necessary? This has never been a problem with, for example, the Homework Help Hotline subforum, and frankly that is of a more serious and important nature than parsing nonsense in another language. All that happens in that particular subforum is that one PMs a moderator, volunteering oneself for potential help on a potential subject, and one is added to the sticky without question (thusly, they are 'approved') - I remember going through this same process, there is no individual screening of candidates involved and the work that you provide for others is not checked. Is it, or has it ever been, a problem? Not whatsoever. People have PMed me directly for help precisely because I am on the list and am freely available (been gone for a year or so, but I assume I am still on it anyway) - moderators or 'trusted' users are a wholly unneccessary middleman in the actual help process, beyond being added to the sticky list.

When we are talking about translating site rules and other such, I can see why we might exercise more caution, but this is not even being proposed as far as I can see, nor does this devalue the concept at all. I think my example would be clearer if we realise that the same logic could is applied to virtually every other 'help' subforum on this site, from computer and hardware discussion to the love line, where people are willing and able to offer their time without going through someone 'trusted'. The very backbone of this site is user contribution, and to say that this particular idea would require screening and filtering when this does not happen elsewhere is to me just a double standard. If user contribution is, indeed, so inherently prone to abuse, as seems to be implied, then how does this site even function? It isn't as though I have called a mediator for every trade done over the course of five years. Sometimes a 'mod middleman' is gratuitous.

I see this as a really good idea, one I would like to see fuelled more so by user contribution than lengthy moderator approval for the reasons listed above. If it does get passed, let me know, for there are many languages for which I should love to translate to and from. I also hope my reply was not so lengthy as to be not easily understood.
