Yet mistakes still happen. Having a confirmation window for large amounts of fg doesn't hurt, does it?

Does it hurt? No. But it's something that wouldn't improve the site much for the time it would take to implement (granted, it shouldn't be hard), and there are more useful updates that could be done instead of this.

Yes! I remember how I sent 1000 fg instead of 100, they wouldn't send back.

I don't really see the need.

Large amounts should only be sent to a mediator or well respected individual anyway, both of which have a much higher chance of returning any accidental over pay made.

Just add commas

i.e. if someone types in '100' and adds a zero to the '100' then the input will automatically change through ajax to '1[,]000' adding the comma.

Then the comma can be removed by javascript before the form is sent to the php action.

This would help as a bunch of zeros side-by-side often are hard to see/count in small fonts.
