It would be nice for some things. However if you post in that private topic then there is no way to know someone posted in there unless you look in the topic or have it tracked and can see if someone posted in it. If you remove it from there it would be a real nuisance imo.
I'd like to hear ur point on the matter some more it might change my mind. Why would it be needed? I don't really see any harm in it as it is right now. I'll post and but i'll vote later.
As of right now, I have access to a Jet Stream+ topic. When I post there, it shows the x amount of time since the post was made. Others will see the different topics as being posted in prior to that, so there will be full acknowledgement of the post being made in private sections. While it is certainly not a common thing to happen, as most discussion is made in the public chat, the behind the scenes occurrences should remain fully behind the scenes; there shouldn't be any means of acknowledging when a private post is being made, even if the occurrence might not be all the time. Another example: last night I was on rather late and thus no public posts were being made. However, I saw a post was made recently, yet none of my topics showed such when I was viewing the guild topics. I knew there was a Admin+ post being made, but of course do not have access to the topic. My idea is just for the "last post" feature to disclude posts made in private sections, to keep permissions and such consistent.
Why is it needed? Well, you could say it's really not needed, if you want to get down to it. But I feel as though it would certainly prove useful in the respect that it will sustain proper permissions within a guild, as well as instill some peace of mind knowing a private post isn't being made. Sure, we know private posts are being made all the time, but if we don't know when they are being made, we will be less conscious about it.
Hope that clears things up.
