The closest thing that existed to your suggestion is the Quick Filters that exists in the d2 forums.
But that will do exactly the same as the search and bring up everything.

The search function for trading forums exist. (Even if it is picking up things you do not want)
The trader finder which helps you search for different things and filter stuff is there and working. (Even if people do not use it as often)

Same thing in the end.
The option is already there and if people do not want to use it, then they do not.

This would make it easier than the current option. Unlike "runes" you can't just use a search filter like d2, that's why adding the checkbox is best way.

Its great that it exists. Now let's improve the system and add a tab instead of leaving something people don't use.
