Voted no. JSP just does not seem like the place to go for OS questions or general discussion. There are many boards on the net dedicated to Linux, and would be a better source of help to someone with questions.

Really, don't come to JSP for your OS help needs, or anything when it comes to something critical to your system.

If you're a windows user, JSP will tell you to delete system32.

I voted no. If you were to create this subforum then you would nerd to make many more for other operating systems....and so forth..keep in mind you can discuss this in programmers haven. Instead of Linux have a forum dedicated to any and all operating systems.

No. You(Like the rest of the people in here) fail to realize linux is a much larger topic than windows/mac combined. There are a lot more discussions/things to help with under linux.

We indeed do need this. Programmers haven is not for such things and 90% of the questions there suck anyways as well as don't belong there.
