I don't see any reason this shouldn't be implemented if a large portion of the community wants it. It would obviously have to be optional to use this feature.

For anyone that doesn't have unlimted text/talk/data whatever and is still using an outdated phone from the 90's then don't use this feature.
As for security issues, even if there are any they would be minor and more so influenced by yourself rather than using this feature.
