Can you explain further how your suggestion would help keeping track of topics in "slow-moving forums"? With the number of topics being low (as in GH or SA), why would you require additional assistance coming from highlighting certain topics?

By saying “slow-moving”, I simply mean that it is rare that a topic would go down from the top to the next page quickly. However, it can still get quite busy in those forums, and the feature that I am suggesting can add an extra tool to help differentiate certain topics that still need assistance/attention.

Not sure how much more I can explain. However, it is mostly my personal preference of how I like to keep track on topics visually

Hey again Yakir and thanks for your reply.

I understand your point. You are correct that the general goal of my suggestion and the "Track Topic" feature is ultimately the same - it is to allow players to be able to highlight/track a topic for them.
However, my suggestion is a little different and can bring additional utility/convenience to some users. For example, I want to be able to visually highlight a topic without receiving notifications about every post within that topic.
If you are busy helping in a particular forum and trying to answer multiple people at the same time, it is a bit distracting to receive more notifications on top of tracking responses of the topics where you are currently replying to users.
This feature would work well in slow-moving forums like SA, GH, or even discussion topics. Also, some people are more visual and would like to simply unread/highlight the topic instead of tracking it.

You can modify the tracked topic not to have notifications.

I'd say if you help usere around to get answers or gather evidence in the SA - you should be focused 100% on that instead of extend yourself to multiple topics if you haven't finish the one you started.

On slow moving subforums you won't need it as you will see that topic on topic and can easily see if there's new post or not and even more, in slow moving forums, normally there's few topics that are active ( unless it's TG ) with content you might want to read again, but again, that's exactly what Topic Tracking means, do and meant to be used for.
