It's very clear that is not my intent. Maybe the reason that people don't use this is because instead of constructive criticism, it's just criticism and bashed to the side like it's impossible. All you need is two matches. You can go to your command prompt under Windows and see all the IPs of people on your network. I'm sure Linux will make a much more detailed list dude. The only thing you are doing that I can see is attacking me for having an idea because it wasn't popular in the polls.
Nothing I've posted wasn't constructive, I even said I supported the primary concept, but that you didn't express this for the persona you want to benefit. Secondly, I can VPN to computers all over the world. I could easily connect to a web service with as many IPs as I wish, let alone the simplicity to just clone my mac address. IP addresses are not a suitable deterrent for a non-LEO.

Fair. It felt like you were coming at me squandering my idea. So, how can we make this better? I mean, there has to be something there.
A refferal program won't help multis. If I think about referral programs from other programs, it rewards the users with trivial things for getting users to adopt the service. d2jsp could do it easily with a referral orb, which... opens them up to other orbs. It could give them +25 mail slots for a month, which opens them up to other premium account features. When you suggest a feature, think about how users will use it - not how it will help the admins. The admins know what will help them better than us

(Just my two cents)
