Undecided since I may not have comprehended your explanation of why you would need this to happen?
Okay, I guess this is what I do, I am off line for like 5 days and had previously posted in 4 other JSP sections, replied to PMs &/or Quotes and got replied to etc... sometimes there are like 20+ notifications, and if you click on one of the links instantly and open that page, another list appears, BUT, this also removes the previous 4 out of the 5 listed.
What I do is "right click" and open it in a new Tab, this way I do NOT lose the other 4, then I do the same with the other 4 (which maybe from other sections) until I have NO new notifications listed... okay, since I have been doing this regularly, I became comfortable with it, and I also click the X of the link on a previous page to remove it so I am not repeating my steps.
Okay... now that I have written that all out, are you wanting a "Notification" link that is "Specifically" related to that section and all the replies to you? If this is how I read it, what happens if in that one section you have 15 notifications and only see 5 of them? (Note: you can just ignore notifications about PMs, since you can already identify them WITHOUT a notification.)
Don't get my post wrong, I am just trying to understand it in a way that you are expressing, or, another idea could pop up in your head etc.
Well. I wake up with 50+ notifications every morning. If it is from scammer accusations, quotes, PMs, replies or my graphics designs.
Nevertheless not everyone is on PC, some are on tablet, some even on phone. It’s incredibly time consuming. And to skip every page to rid the notifications quickly will in the end have you miss out on one or another.
Also if you’re expecting a certain reply or quote but you suddenly miss it because you skimmed through a bunch of notifications and then notice that one so much later and miss a trade or w/e, it’s very tedious.
A notification split would help in sorting these out. It would still roll as it normally is, just that you can double check them in a separate tab.
I would also like to suggest a “clear all notifications” button somewhere.
