Hi!
Although it very much upsets me to see new users get scammed, there is a process in place that fixes this. It’s simply requesting a mediator for trades.
The root cause here is user error (not requesting a mediator) not the ability to refund scammed fg.
Scammers can exploit this, and with a little creativity, can double down their scam by not only receiving the item, but also receiving refunded s scammed fg originally believed to have been scammed. For an example, scammed and his friend stage a scam for 10-15k fg (JMOD) they can manipulate the system by stagging a scam and pocketing 15k fg which is a large sum.
Again, I hate to see new users get scammed, but the solution is not to refund them, the solution is preventive action which in this case is requesting a mediator.
Sorry you got scammed brother, hope the user got locked!

Yes the mediator is always there and I thank those who have put it in place and keep it as a service. I should have just always used one (20/20 hindsight). However, I have hundreds of trade w/o scams and never needed to waste everyone's time w/ a mediator, Basically my solution currently is I am just screwed w/o anything good coming of this situation and now I have to force every single user to trade first or request a mediator and let me tell you, they haven't been so happy about it (I guess it has a bad implication on them?), especially the OG users.
So the echoing effects of "Just used a mediator every time" are a lot more than they seem. I guess that's just the world we live in, at least on this website.
Everything has to be done w/o trusting the other user, requiring they trade first or a mediator is used if I want to ensure no users including myself in my transactions are scammed.
