love this idea

my thoughts were that the mediation walkthrough could maybe contain a field for editing the comment when the buyer is sending fg to the forum bank, not necessarily edit the gold logs themselves.

I guess my suggestion does not reflect that very well

That number is for that specific mediation and I'm pretty sure you can see the mediation status of that mediation by adding it to the end of this link:
There, those involved with the mediation can see all of the details of the trade including the mediator, the traders, their info, the trade summary and the topic.

So for that mediation it would be https://forums.d2jsp.org/med.php?a=7&i=5794 which is only visible to you, the other trader and the mediator involved in that transaction.

I might be wrong on whether or not you can still access that after the mediation is complete so give it a try and lmk if you can see your trade details in the above link.

If you can see it then making it hyperlink directly to the mediation status page for that mediation would be a good idea, so everyone can quickly and easily figure out the details on a specific mediated transaction.

Absolutely. Even if it needs to remain an automated comment, it would be more useful if it contained the trade thread's ID. That way, the user can find it back.

As it stands now, the comment is meaningless to the user.

This is actually not a bad idea.

Not to detract from original idea, but I absolutely love the link idea. Seems like something that would not be too difficult to code either, just add it into the request that’s already generated from the request button.

well you never know, maybe there's a rule not allowing links in fg comments. hard to determine what is hard to do when it's not open source

That’s a fair point!

The Trade Mediation # in your gold logs is now a clickable link that takes you to that mediation which shows the history of it. (Who traded, the topic, the amount, the notes, etc).
