Seems like something that would be used by less the 1% of users, and even then very niche cases
not worth the dev time to implement

Might only be 1%.

While we have extraordinary people across our site Members are in different Guilds.

I have stated in a different thread I feel our whole site is a kind of a Guild Alliance.

No doubt our site is different from other Communities as we are a trading and gaming forum, but with the right people doing the right ideas supporting that 1% that could use this feature may be worth everyone's time.

While I understand anything being implemented into our site takes work I try not to let that hinder any ideas for something more here. Maybe the reason I find this useful is because I rather enjoy the things I can do while being a Verified Member here. 150 PMs...

Verified Members are less than 1% of our site members at this time.

Hate the idea

I am actually infuriated just by thinking about the potential repercussions of implementing such an idea.

How so? Sometimes Guildmates and others share PMs. As a Guild Owner you might have experience with using the Rank System and more. Giving options for Guildmates to take minor notes and details about how they feel about a particular interesting pm might give that user a chance to actively participate in their own chance at learning more and by there own note taking. I could also see Guildmates and others using notes on PMs when it comes to sub-forums like the BNP Community, such as yourself and when noticing something is not adding up.

Ah, ty for the input and voting.

I have been on and off active a couple years now or so. I feel like a lot of us are much older, but at the same time we still enjoy the simplicity, ease, and nostalgia within the site. Right now msgs have a Subject area, sometimes the msg subject can change while pms go back and forth.

While it may seem different to add notes to a msg, it could help in the Event someone does not have time or is ready to respond to a pm but also not interested in saving a draft. I kind of picture it like a sticky note, and it could be a reminder to not forget something or to send an emoji or two. :) B)

In theory this suggestion could be added to the subject line as an additional layer to the subject area, which can only be displayed when hovering over the pm. In all honesty I would rather just click inbox and see my own subject/notes on every pm, and when I was interested in doing that.

It would also be cool to export the notes with the current system to archive pms.

I'm not sure the best set up but there seems to be a lot of options, and it may also influence the use of the notepad feature.
