I don't think that is the primary reason to block people. Could be a variety of reasons.
Blocking enables one to not have to deal with someone and to a limit. Having the users personal additions pass thru the blocking page seems like it could be a bit off putting for some, especially when Guild or other members share avatar design.
Simply putting it imagine having to block somebody that has the same avatar as the next superhuman. In this case does stuff roll down hill or is it hiding in the bushes waiting to be trimmed ? Do you catch my drift?
