Tbh I'm sick of seeing the end of ladder ft lists that sell garbage items so I figured it would be easier to filter out the "more serious" or "better item" trades quickly instead of just clicking page to page and checking the bold/red title names.

So it seems you believe the key to less clutter while you are trading, and at certain times of trading, is to filter trades that have been paid into. While filtering is already there, 1 more filter option seems like a reasonable thing to do with some space on our site, and where applicable. Doing this would give you a better and easier user experience while trading, and you are new to this site. Sounds about right?

Any other ideas you ever come up with to support your idea, I am open ears. :)

The suggestion was specifically within D2 trading, as he wanted it next to ”Runewords”. Filtering was implemented so people could look for more specific things among the thousands of topics, bolded/red aren’t categories people actively look for. Nor do I agree that bolded/red topics are generally ”easier” trades.

The negative aspect to this is only that it’s completely useless and is such a weird way to filter something that doesn’t make sense in any way. It would also clutter up the site.

The suggestion title and posts refer to certain forums and the example of where the filter for title purchased topics would be located. If it was true that people did not look for, or utilize the topic title purchase features, then there would be no use for them to begin with, and thus may have never been implemented anyway. Some traders and service provides only use topic title purchases, in which may have had more experience on the site trading and more, thus a quicker and easier trade can take place. This also goes for auto-shops topics and more. While you see an additional option to filter such trades as clutter some to view, the OP may feel clutter-some trading due to the communities populated interests in trade are not of his liking, and thus he enjoys looking for those who have paid into being noticed.

So it seems you both agree less 'clutter' is better, right?

Fair enough, certain forums, as you said, probably the most active ones.
People do not specifically look for bolded topics, or if they are, it's a weird thing going for them. It does however make your topic more noticeable, because it stands out compared to the original one, which is also why it costs FG.
"Some traders and service provides only use topic title purchases, in which may have had more experience on the site trading and more, thus a quicker and easier trade can take place." Sure, they MAY have more experience, but rarely does that make the trades any easier than with any other user.

If the OP doesn't look to browse topics that may not have been purchased, then tough luck. There's no need to argue more because this will obviously not be implemented. Not every addition to the site is a good addition, which is why this won't be added.

But yes I agree, useless clutter has no place in here.

It is hard to say what people look for, as we do not have access to those kinds of logs. You and others may check all trading, use search options and more, but this newer member to our site has found ways to achieve the way they wish to enjoy trading here. Regardless if a this site suggestion ever gets implemented, one new member of the community has found a way to utilize our site which works best for them. With a simple filter that user can now "fluff there feathers" when trading, which can be good for both the buyer and seller of an items or services. This may be turn out to be an important change for our site one day, and that is in part something that is a reflection of our site and the activities members here outside of our site.

A newer user simple found a fast and fun way to get what they want, and it is also good for people who have used forum gold to get noticed. If other newer users of our site feel the same way, maybe this filtration will help bring certain type of new members to our site and the community that embraces it.

Not debating here, just sharing some opinions on how I could see this site suggestion being good for the site and some of its members. You may see it differently, and I think you a great for being yourself, and if you want to make a suggestions that removes filtering all together because it gives the site less clutter and more tough luck, by all means I will share my opinion there too. ^_^

I Voted in support for this site suggestion as I do not really see much drawback compared to the possible or immediate gain, and it does not seem like something that would have to stay as being implemented if it was not utilized and or did not progress in the right direction. It also seems easy to implement and would also give users an incentive to purchase title upgrades. With the possibility of future forums being a rather large realm, the idea of mass trades, services, and more could end up flooding our forums, in which this site suggestion would again benefit newer and future use of our site. Also voted yes because a newer member of our site has found a way to get in touch and trade with those who have the forum gold to become better noticed, which in my opinion beings a new depth of community that may embrace the older and newer users of our site. This could be more of a quality control upgrade, and if someone pays into it, figures it out, and the community they run into likes them, then the site itself has done a great trade and use of feature for any individual in its own design. This site suggestion is very interesting in that principle, and I wonder if people would learn to appreciate the site more and over time for providing a filtration services for those involve with interest in title purchase quality trades or services.
