For mods, yes.
For the general public, no.

Seeing as its more directed at everyone I voted no.

As I explained, it is for everyone, it is a majority of people who are not staff who post and help in this forum.
Your answer is illogical.

Even if topics had the resolved tag on them, there's no way to confirm that the correct information or results have been posted, and it would still include opening the topic to check.

The only actual resulting action is if a mod closes the topic and either states "X has posted the right info", "PM X group for more info", etc, which is something that already occurs.

I'm sorry you didn't read my topic.

I clarified that a person who creates a topic because he has a problem, has the "resolved" button to mark the topic as resolved.
It's good that if the person who opened the topic decides to press the button to say that the answer he expected has been given, I don't see the problem. It is common sense.
Staff can also decide based on the answers and their experience to decide if the correct answer is inside, regardless of the author's choice.

Those are 2 clearly ways to confirm a correct information has been posted.

You voted without reading or understanding. It begins well.

Resolved topics are not closed, they are left open in case the user has additional questions related to the topic, or for other users to offer a different point of view or additional insight. Also there’s only about 3-4 General Help topics per day, so I feel these topics are easily managed as they stand. Plus adding these options could just further confuse someone who’s already seeking help, and might go unnoticed by newer users.
I think it’s a good idea Archive, I just feel like it’s a lot of work to do an addition like this that would get minimal use.

I agree with Josha here, I think it would just make it more confusing, especially for newer users.

Josha responds to things unrelated to my idea.

I repeat myself because people don't read.

At no time do I ask to close topics when they are resolved. I draw attention to the fact that this can be an item to help close if you wish. I have explained all of this above.

I don't see how this idea, which would make things clearer and easier for everyone, would complicate things.
I do not agree at all with that, on the contrary it allows to target the topics which need help, others which are solved and where we can find answers to the problems posed.

The fact that there are a few topics per day does not make my idea useless, on the contrary.
I think such reasoning is reductive and irrelevant.
Especially since the arrival of new games will attract new members and more activity very soon.

It is sad that you and Vibrations are following Josha's advice which is based on things I do not say and therefore misinterpretation.

To answer you on the fact that this could confuse new users.

There is a problem here, how to confuse a new user, since by definition he is new and therefore does not yet have a reference point.
No need to go further here, your position here makes no sense.
On the contrary, new users would not be affected by this change in any way.
I would add that anyway this idea improves the visibility, readability, efficiency of this forum. So in no way confuse the old ones as a new member.

Not necessary - Staff members can already mark topics as "Complete" when we see fit.

Example: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=84722102&f=34

And marking "New" and "Processing" really doesn't serve a purpose imo.

Having a "fine" system doesn't stop you from improving it.
Think about it, if all systems were "fine" on jsp, you can remove the majority of updates here.

Your example shows just a closed topic, it must be the topic you've created to see it as completed.
It does nothing to show others browsing the forum that the problem has been resolved and that they can find an answer to it.

I have no idea why you’re accusing me of “not reading” , and answering something unrelated to your suggestion, I quoted you saying you wanted to “make it easier for mods to close topics”.
We don’t close topics usually which are resolved, because sometimes people can offer additional insight or a different perspective.

You’ve basically told 4 staff members in this thread that they’re not understanding you, and we’re wrong in our input, when we’re actually taking the time out of our day to read your suggestion and give constructive input.

Are you saying eveey single one of us is wrong in our opinion about a section that all of us have moderated?
