Going to hard pass, like stated people are fucking stupid, anything more makes more chances for issues, and then there's the trolls.
When there's issues its address by the s/a team and this system puts it unto trade mods?
Textbooks doing an amazing job, best I've seen let him do him cause it clearly works.

The fastest method to trade is simply trading with mass-traders who value their reputation or people you know.
The safest is with a mediator..

The safest method is making other person go first, period. Even with meds there has been issues.
I recently used a med "Ium" and while there was no issue I made him get and verify the items with me prior to sending fg.
The only issue I generally find with meds is the wait time, though I will admit that particular mediation was quite fast.
In most instances the user just ends up going first vs dealing with the wait time.

Making the other person go first is literally the only reason why there's so much scamming, heh.

Of course regulars like you and me don't have to worry about it, we very rarely go first.

I think about it with almost every trade. Only way to really avoid getting scammed is to receive item/forum gold first. What options are left for other part? While I personally just refuse the trade whenever I have to go first, it is a quite bitter solution. Everyone following this rule would leave every newer member only to trade in-game.

I think it’s a good idea in the right direction, the people bashing this idea have probably not ever needed to make their own SA topic, basically everything they said this would cause, already happens except the FG goes poof.

This may be a better idea for trades under the 100fg value, or as an option you would tick as you initiate a trade to send it to the limbo.

We had this over a decade ago and it was disastrous on many levels. Users forgetting to mark trades complete, being tricked into marking them complete, users bailing on trades and not marking incomplete (in many cases disappearing for extended periods of time) then those that disappeared return and say they were scammed due to automatic or manual returns or payouts of fg inappropriately.

This is suggested every few years and there is no chance this will come back.
