voted no, and heres the reason, and i think its the same reason paul doesnt have that option to do it

In some cases thru out the years, some people have left them self logged in, either at home, school, work or a friends house.
At said place, another person uses there account, and throws everyone out the guild, and trys to delete it be a ass.
which u cant, so i think for just that reason there, he doesnt want people to be able to remove a guild very quick.

now u might say, hey pun that will not happen, and to that i can say, it has happen, it happen to my guild once.

my guild mate oblivionknights aka tom, left his account loged on school one day, and someone deleted everyone
out of it. when i loged on, only me and him left. what if he had the power to delete the guild its self, i would be
out tons of ls points, and my guild i made back in 06, my join date is 09 for the guild, only cuz i left for a week.
to join another guild to slash, but it fell apart right away, so my join date is wack now, and i lost like 700 ls points :( lols

anyways im 100% glad that u can not delete guilds with a push of a button :)

Think the transfer fee should reamin so it doesn't get abused

Deleting should be a possibility seeing that it will in most cases just be smaller ones.
Bigger ones are usually not too big deal to actually get sold or have someone paying the transfer

I think reason why the gild transfer troubles been getting so large and a issue is that every guild being made is a direct +1 into amount of guilds and a lot of people ends up sitting on guilds cause they aren't able to get rid of.
Also new users not having the information that you can purchase existing guilds available easily enough (Yes that's of course aissue from both sides not just the site.)

It's common that when someone buys a guild they dump all of their funds to it which also makes transfering it more difficult with the low value guild has once created as well.

This could be fixed by having a confirmation password such as asking for gold password or even the login

Yes I know there's a lot of people that don't keep track of their password once logged into own devices but if you actually want to delete your guild it should be worth the hassle.

I believe it is nice the way it is.

The fee to transfer a guild is necessary in two ways from my point of view:

1) People will think twice before buy a guild for themselves because when they would like to get hide of it they will have to find a buyer who are willing to pay the 1.5k fg for it.

2) Guild owners won't have the hability to just "remove" or "transfer" its guilds like they send forum gold i.e. So, if they ever have this option, people could be changing from guild to guild a lot because of the "easy" stuff to just "transfer it for free" - we would have a truly "guild spam" on d2jsp.

So, besides the fact I recognize we should have the power to decide whatever we want to do with ours purchases, the fee is for us to know that it is a important decision to buy or make a guild.

Said that, voted the second option ;)

Good luck.

This is an incredibly easy fix.. Require password/gold password verification. Just like logging in.

if it means less people spamming topics about a guild, yeah you should be allowed to just leave it.

however, it wont happen.
no one in it means no one to take over and a ghost guild is now taking up shop.
deleteing it seems odd considering all the FG someone put into it.

this was a valid point though against the suggestion as is though. if this suggestion was to be implemented, i believe you would have to add the idea of "no one in guild = guild doesn't exist"
deleting guilds is a waste, but it would be a larger waste having so many ghost guilds that only prevent us from using those names for our own guilds.

I think it'd be better if you could just "destroy" your own guild.
They made the fg off you when you made it so what does it matter if you abandon it, or destroy it :P

I guess it forces you to spend more if you want to leave it bad enough but destroying it can also run a fee of some sort ^^ don't see it happening but who knows

All the mediators, of course, are against it

After all we already keep paid back scammed fg, why not continue to limit our site to petty functions that were cool, say, 9 or 10 years ago? Shit's outdated and needs to be changed to atone for the amount of people who care to log on JSP less and less.

Guilds are rotting because their owners don't care to amass fg again to sell it or just be rid of it. Being stuck with something you buy doesn't exist in the real world, everything is throw away or disposable.

A silly JSP guild should be no different.

Voted yes.
