That's the point.


I don't care about your name, don't make it personal. It is cool to have opinion and you are welcome to express it. But you are very narrow-minded. Your argument is there should not be an option to choose because you like it how it is.

I am with Yakir on this one.
I voted no the day this was made but was too lazy to bother explaining and arguing.

I haven't changed my name on the site and not planning to, so it has nothing to do with that.
This is just another one of those "stalker -suggestions" where someone has the need to mind someone else's business.

This offers nothing useful imo.
If someone wants you to know their namechange history, then they surely let you know about it.

Actually I'm not making it personal, I do know few users who won't want people know their old name, that's it.
Why you think you should have the option to see/know someone else old name if he choose to change it?

I said that I, as person who changes name, should have an option to make my name-change history visible/invisible to others.

I don't get how is this not useful. People, who want something from me - say graphic works which I were used to do a lot back in the day - and want to contact me if I can help them, how is this not useful if they can find me even after I have changed my name (for pure reason of not liking my old name). This is just one example. Parallels could be drawn for many different situations. But have an option to hide name-change history, as well.

I don't think someone searching for me will search profiles of 800,000 users if that is what you think. I don't exactly understand the "stalker" reference either. Like, someone could see your profile? Sounds bad.

Because I cannot be found by my signature. Why not have options to choose from and choose the one that is to your liking? If it so important to hide your name.
