Voted yes.

It saves time for every one.
Can't see why it should be abused. Those who abuse it should be punished.
I'm sure those who abuse the buttom there is now, is getting punished somehow.

Abuse is possible

Abuse is possible now though what's the difference? Those who abuse it get punished

I can make a bunch of ft threads and just hit request med in every one of them , same as canceling

I don't know how it works but is there a wye where med requests go? I don't see what the problem would be, if someone cancels it'll just get deleted off the pending list and the med doesn't have to waste time anymore pming the user for something they no longer need and vice versa

How? What am I missing
The abuse thing isn't a real reason to say no, the system now can easily be abused same as every rule , that's why stuff gets enforced so less people abuse it. Make stricter penalties for people who do abuse the system like is prob done today

I don't see how staff will get mad for wasting time, if someone no longer needs med than it's a waste of time for the med to pm the user only to find out he doesn't need. That's when the cancel button comes in, the med will see it's canceled and not go through process of pming

It's a fantastic idea in my opinion, however, I don't believe it's needed.

I wouldn't want to fix something that isn't broken.

With that being said, I voted no. I certainly appreciate the thought that this suggestion was made on though :)

The way I see it, pressing the "cancel" button would remove your request from the queue before anyone wastes their time responding to it.

How could that possibly waste anybody's time? How could it be abused? Please tell me, I'm genuinely curious.
