in the top 50 there are people who donated over 500k fg only to obtain stars, no money involved, no costumer either then. makes absolutely no sense however.

+ customer means you have to get special rights like take back the money within 14 days and send the fg back to njaguar to cancel the order.

I think you just angry about something , this suggestion make no sense.

This site is not, nor has it ever been a charitable organization, and as such, everything paid is and always has been a purchase, not a donation. Using terms such as donations and Donors is confusing, and is being corrected where necessary. If a different synonym for Customer (such as Patron) is preferred, I am open to such suggestions, but will not be changing it back to a term that is not applicable.

edit: Other vague terms such as "Supporter" are also not going to be used. The avoidance of ambiguity is important, which is why Customer was chosen. It fits 100% in line with what it has always been both technically and literally.

Thanks

According to this words there are no donations only purchases so the subforum name needs to be changed.

Well you actually have to donate to get access to the donor forum. Sure, you get a 25$ star upgrade but since it only has a cosmetic function I would still consider this a donation (yes, this is debatable). It's not the same as buying forum gold.

That and also the fact that I'm used to the name "donor forum" is enough for me to vote no.

@ PlatinumV

Your logic is flawed.

It is a costly endeavor to run a site that is not supported by advertising revenue.

In order to assist the owner in covering the cost of running it, donations are sent to him by those who appreciate the uniqueness of the site.

Therefore, we are donors. And this is a forum created by him for those who have donated. Hence, Donor Forum.

Want to argue the point?? Quite a few users have indeed bought fg from the site owner, but are NOT in the donor forum.
Most of these are blowing it out their butts in BnP, and then buying more. They have little or no interest in being in the Donor Forum as such.

no! in a donation no money is involved.

I'm speechless

This post made me laugh so hard.

A donation is a gift given by physical or legal persons, typically for charitable purposes and/or to benefit a cause. A donation may take various forms, including cash offering, services, new or used goods including clothing, toys, food, and vehicles. It also may consist of emergency, relief or humanitarian aid items, development aid support, and can also relate to medical care needs as i.e. bloodor organs for transplant. Charitable gifts of goods or services are also called gifts in kind.
