It would scroll across the bottom, and the oldest would eventually be off the screen. Just like d2jsp IM.
Have you ever used the IM feature before?

I appreciate you sharing why you voted no, but I feel as though you're misinformed on how the feature currently works.

I use d2jsp I.M , when I got 3 topics I get massive alerts for replies and it spam my screen.
I understand it sorry if you thought otherwise ;)

How does it "spam your screen"?
Unless you're talking about the text in the textfield? In which case, hasn't anything to do with this suggestion.
I'm only talking about the scrolling bar at the bottom of the screen, which takes up maybe 1/50th of your workspace. Maybe that's why I'm confused, since I'm trying to interpret something that "spams your screen".

Also, the sounds can be turned of, did you know this?

No.
I get way 2 many pm's in a day to keep hearing beep. If I'm expecting a PM from someone then I'll be on to see there PM.
If i go afk that means I don't want any pm's.
meaning im busy.
I truely see no use for this.

Yes.

However, Skype is prob the best for this kind of thing.

ORRRR

njag could makr it an applet with its own window that flashes upon new IM. that would be super easy to impement. Would also just need to touch up on tje server reconnects so they work 95% of the time at minimum ;)

That's why the default for it can be set to 0 and if we like it, we can enable the feature. Heck, even purchase the feature with FG or something. It's an awesome idea.

It would bring/add a whole new level to the "Foruming" experience as well.
