The process of proving someone scammed you is Tedious. Trying to prove somebody attempted to scam you would be like your word against his. I'm sure it is possible to get enough proof to mark someone as someone who has attempted to scam like blacklist someone, but what's the point. If a trade seems sketchy don't do it or request a Mediator. If you get scammed you make a topic in the Scammer accusations forum.

No.

Just use a mediator, that's what they're there for.

you're being ignorant

mediators cannot protect you against every case, for instance...if you read op posts it was regarding a runescape account where the guy tried changing pin (to get access to his items) and changing the password

I would like this...but problem is for some reason I can't see it being added as much as I'd like to

Runescape section needs to make our own scammer list in a guilds charter or something

I understand that. However, if you take into account the amount of mediators on JSP at any given time, then the amount of trades that go on in every single subforum, if everyone used a mediator, trades would never actually get completed, and the mediators would get very tired, very quickly. I have used a mediator maybe twice in the last two years(I generally am able to get everything given to me first) but the couple times I HAVE used a mediator, it's been an extremely long wait.

In my case, I literally had his IP address, the pms, the trade topic, and SEVEN, yes, SEVEN different e-mails sent to me trying to change my password, recoveries, account guardan, etc. There is 0 way to refute that. That is 100% evidence. Like I said, it would have to take 100% refutable evidence to get this tag added to someone(just like the actual "scammer" tag takes).

Probably, which would mean there are too few mediators, so more of those would solve the problem.
I never give first, so I never got this problem.

Mediators have to be 100% trustworthy though, having too many mediators is actually a bad thing for security. You can't use the argument of using a mediator when you admit to not using one yourself, and acknowledge that my point is true.

well in the situation provided as an example for this suggestion the problem had nothing to do with who gave what when, it was a service that required the other user to be on his in-game account and a mediator can't exactly be used to prevent stuff from being stolen from the account
