that link has already been posted i already explained why that is not suffient please don't spam in the thread

just because something exists that can do the same thing doesn't mean it should not be improved
think of the "bump" button
why was it added when u can just click "reply" and type bump?

Hum, so if I read your suggestion, the button would "copy and paste" the first post of the first thread? This mean if you updated your trade/need list in the end of the first one, with the button you will have to update it again by removing or adding?
If you took Bold/Italic/Red in the first one, it save them automatically or you will have to select them again?

In my eyes, this add as you proposed in your first post, is not faster than the "old" method. Personally make a list on excel, word, and update it directly when you sell/buy something is much faster. You just have to copy and paste as few people said before.
After you took the exemple of the Bump button, yes this add make it faster. You come on your topic, you click on the button, and done. You don't have to update something. :)

Sorry voted no. For me not needed, and waste of time.

no
all it would do is literally "quote" but without the quote tags the first post of your thread
as a new thread in preview mode
at which point you can choose to change title or any thing you would change in preview mode or post it as is

the difference is 2 secs to re-post a thread vs 2 mins

its very easy to implement and would help forum usability

as for your copy paste idea, i think its stupid to keep local copies of a forum post - i will never do this

are you saying that pressing "add reply" and typing bump is more work than

keeping local copy of post?

by your logic you don't even need a website just view a text file :D
