Every single point made to counter this change has made little to no sense, or isn't fully thought out...


If you set an items bin to 500fg and the user's fg is only showing 200ish and they say "this is all I have, would you take this for the item" who would honestly go.... ohhh ok since your poor Ill take less for this item o.O now...


And if your trading according to jsp rules, If you are selling an item you get the fg 1st! before sending them the item.. so if they honestly don't have enough fg where does this become a problem? You simple just wasted time logging on.. no harm done and that person made themselves into a fool.

i would only approve of this if you either had your FG displayed or not......not choose how much...but either you have your full fg, or you dont show your fg at all...thats what mediators are for..people could adjust....but choose your own amount? no.

User goes around with a low fg amount. Says "I have 10,000 fg hidden" users believe him and trades normally and suddenly uh oh, user never had the fg in the first place.
This is just asking for more scams to happen, there is no reason to hide your fg. If someone begs for donations, place them on your block list.
You're giving scammers more ammunition and njaguar will never allow that.

That makes no sense, you can't do that now, so why would users all of a sudden allow that? Users know you can change how much you show so just show more if you want to buy something more expensive...


The whole scamming thing is not a valid point, there is no way you can be scammed with showing less fg than you have, if it were the case then everyone with low fg count would be scamming using that method...

If you want to buy something that is more expensive then the amount of fg you are showing, then you go and reveal more... Arsenic_touch so far your points are not valid as you have explained them, all of that could happen now

Makes perfect sense.
Your suggestion is basically giving scammers a new way to scam people.
The rules state you cannot offer fg you don't have, users report people all the time for this, now you're going to push more work on the mods plate to police this just to make sure someone actually has the fg they're bidding since the normal user won't be able to tell.
If you think someone is going to instantly change their fg amount over and over again for individual trades, you're mistaken.
If you think someone isn't going to claim their fg is hidden when they don't actually have it and scam someone with this new method, you're also mistaken.
This isn't going to happen, it would be abused in a heartbeat.

You just do not understand.

A large amount of people on this site takes what people type word for word and do not understand what happened until it is too late.

I do agree they are at fault, but do not make more chances for them to do so.

The cons for your suggestion just outranks the pros. And the Pros are not worthwhile.
