Voted no, I feel that there would be alot of unecessary popups because lets take a 10 min topic, If I say start - and then 10 people bid over me, am I gonna end up with 10 notifications filling up valuable PM space telling me everyones overbid me? And what about opting OUT of it once you've bid, like retracting or something.

would say no, might be annoying with trade threads lasting longer than 24hours etc.

Not seeing how this applies.

No, it's clicked BY THE USER, so if you're outbid, you'll receive one PM, and in case you noticed "Abuse of this feature..." - if someone sends you 10 notifications, you can disable it, or you can simply report them.

I'm guessing that most of the people voting no are not avid traders, and if they are, it's not in a very heavily traded game. I see absolutely no downside to an add such as shit.

no need for this.
IF someone is that interested in buying an item, He/She will track the topic and watch over it.
IF the seller is highly interested in selling the item, they will p/m the user who was outbid themselves.
And it is Lazy, How are you saving time? It will take you just as long to fill the form out, as it would to send a p/m.

A sufficiently educated individual could code a browser add-on that would accomplish this with relative ease.

However before doing so I recommend they verify that any such macro does not violate forum rule #20: No botting or automation of any features within d2jsp, including, but not limited to, posting, page refreshing, Ladder Slasher.

If I can find a moment spare time, I may see if I can look into it - but I haven't coded browser add-ons in a long time. Based on reading it, it seems it wouldn't, but I'll confirm it with Spencer this evening and see if I can contact a few people

Uppity!
