Sorry man, I thought it was pretty obvious to most people. I guess some people just see things differently.

And some people lack the restraint to be polite and courteous in an environment where they're not held responsible.
Edit: As well as the ability to appropriately articulate their thoughts or opinions.

well giving it just a quick thought, a possible fix for abuse could be that in order for people to be rated you have to pass a kind of a screening by a mod to prove that you actually do trade and that you wouldnt abuse the idea. after passing the screening your status could go from "Not Rated" to "Trader". Also, users who recieve 50+ warn, get locked etc lose the ability to use the system and have to re-pass a screening when eligible. also, as another caution, there would be a way to report people who frequently give bad ratings to people that dont deserve them

i know this idea may not sound perfect, but think of it as a seed idea so that something along these lines may eventually get passed.
