this could be very nice. however you have to think if someone listed the wrong information and it makes something go wrong could the site be liable for damages?

No. When people offer computer advice, or any advice for that matter, and things don't turn out well, the site is not held liable. This wouldn't be any different.
And, even if they were worried about it, a simple disclaimer at the top would take care of that.
