if it's really that important to know where/what you posted, why can't you just track the topic?
and even add a note about the topic so you can remember what you posted

Sure, but this doesn't really avoid accidental double posting and you don't want a list full of tracked topics

Oh that really works.

If you do that for every topic you post into, you would have at least 8k topics in you tracker.
If its even possible to have that many, would you manually check every time if you have posted in the topic already.
