Vote no. If they aren’t online they aren’t online. It doesnt hurt anyone to receive a message while they aren’t actively using the forums. Also no one needs to know you’re sleeping or away from your computer, this isn’t AIM Instant Messenger. If you want to receive less PMs/notifications maybe try putting in your signature that you don’t want to be PM’d when you’re not online.

No, I am correct. It's your own decision to be an active trader and deal with the hassle.
You're right that I don't know your "situation", and I don't care about it either. The solution for you is to take a timeout when you need one, and you obviously need one.

It’s not that deep, it’s not a matter of personal privacy if someone with the user name “dragonslayer69” notes whether they’re asleep or away. Your PII is being passed around more than a $2 hooker from your ISP regardless of VPN etc., so I wouldn’t ever consider this status update quality of life feature a privacy issue. Boomer take.

You're right, I don't know what it's like to have a bunch of PMs for trades, that doesn't affect my decision-making on this suggestion.
Simply disregard them - OR - PM them back once you are online - OR - First line of your trade posts "If I am offline when you bin an item, I will PM you once I am available."

Just because I do not trade as frequently as some, doesn't mean anything - I go through hundreds of PMs on a weekly basis and still find myself running low on PM box space - like right now for example, I am 147/150 in my PM box.
I never said it was a bad suggestion, I just don't think it's needed... if you think an 'away message' or a 'DND' message is going to stop the influx of PMs, you're wrong - all of those 2020+ users you are talking about will ignore it.

Voting no. This would turn into a complete disaster when half of the users who would use this feature forget to turn the “DND” off. If you’re getting a lot of impatient people PMing you while you are away simply include in your posts that you will return PMs/posts when you are available.
